changing bindings on skis myself

Id highly reccomend not to do it unless you know exactly what youre doing. You can jack your skis up that way tho. You can go too deep with the screws and get them to pop out on the base, you might not put em down far enough, list goes on. If youve already decided youre not going to pay for it anyways, message me and ill help you

well if you have any other bindings besides reactors, usually the screws arent phillips head. they look like a phillips but its not so you probably coudlnt screw it in tight enough if you tried and youd strip it unscrewing it. and no, you will hurt yourself and die.

i havnt decided, thaqt is why i made this thread. i may try to get my mom to pay for it...so i shouldnet even unscrew them myself?

also, i dont know if this changes the situation, but the other skis were drilled for these spicific bindings and had this exact pair of bindings untill not too long ago. so since they have had the bindings screwed in them before, do i still have danger of going to far?

I had a pair of Salomons ruined one time when the shop wapped bindings and used the wrong screws. The screws went all the way down and pushed out the Ptex.

swapped, not wapped!

do not do it! dont be cheap bring them to a shop where they can do it properly.

use a robertson head screwdriver, woodglue and do it

wood glue and a #3 phillips head screw driver it both skis are already drilled just squirt glue into the holes and tighten the bindings down till they are tight then go another half turn. then hold the ski up to the light an look at the base of the binding and make sure its sitting flat on the ski then re check all your screws and ask your mom for that 25 $ and go buy a sack of tweed and a Colt 45 an go ridin...

^you need a #3 pozidrive screwdriver. a regular phillips won't cut it.

my advise - take them into a shop. you'll be a lot better off. cause you're gonna put time and effort into getting the bindings on the skis, but it's all wasted and you're skis are potentially fucked if you do it wrong. trust me, i know from experience, so learn from my mistake.

Poz is too big, same with #3 phillips to fit down the holes of the toe pieces. Hes not gonna do it, so everyone calm down

what is the big deal. I have remounted and changed my bindings at least twice on my skis bymyslef and its pretty easy. Just mark the wholes and drill.
