Spagett+you weren't trying to send if u didn't have enough speed.
SlushYou probably bruised the bone in you heel, trust me I've done the same thing and I thought I broke my heel. You would know if you broke your heel, it would way worse. Just to be safe I'd see a doctor.
WhiskeyTangoIf you can still walk, but it is really sensitive it might be a muscular bruise. IMO if you had broken your ankle or your heel you wouldn't be able to walk. Plus, I feel like the impact would cause much more bruising. Think of it like catching a baseball barehanded. I did the same thing to my palm, the whole meaty part of my hand bruised deep blue and hurt like sin for a few days before recovering.
Still, go talk to a doctor if its interfering with your day to day life. Or, if you go to a school, see if you can visit the orthopedic trainers in the athletic department. I know my school will see us for injuries.
WhiskeyTangoAlso, RICE: rest, ice the affected areas, compress them to prevent swelling, and elevate your feet. It will reduce some pain and hopefully prevent swelling.
Shoey-SkiThanks! Hopefully it heals up quick so I can ski next sunday
Shoey-SkiUpdate, I just went to the dr. To review my m r I results, both of my heels are cracked and I am done skiing for the season, it sucks because I wa shopping to get a day or two more, but hey atleast it's the end of the season for the east and not the middle of it

RparrHoly shit I am sorry man. I went to mt snow last week and after hitting 0 jumps all year I nope'd right out of hitting that last gulch jump. I just kept thinking what would happen if I knuckled. Now I know. Good luck staying off your feet.
KravtZMy buddy broke his heels. Took him out for a couple months
Quinn_DavisI knuckled a 50 foot step down once and experienced a pain worse than breaking my collar bone. Heel bruises are a bitch but you probably did not break your heels. The pain lasts about a month depending on how much your uses your heels.
Shoey-SkiYeah it really sucks but I'll bounce back haha

Nikolausit doesn't look that big. did you land weird or something?
elindeThose gulch jumps kinda suck. Kick you so high to a landing that does not compensate for the vertical height you get off those lips. The last one isn't so bad, but yeah it's easy to knuckle, which I did last weekend. I managed to slide out of it and wash out to avoid the full impact on my heels so that saved me anything lasting, but my heels have kinda been fucked all season from flat landings. I'm not sure if it was brought on by lack of sleep or getting drunk the night before, but had pretty decent pain in the right heel. It's gone now, but heels are weird. Anyways, good luck sir.
a_pla5tic_bagSo basically you did a junior version of a T Hall injury.
