switch tail butters

when approachin a rail, switch i cant get on my tips (oon the tail) and spin the 180. like 1 ski turns and the other doesnt and they cross. any tips?

more pressure on the tails. It's easy to give you tips, but tough to perform. Just practice, and you'll get it.

getting on your tips is easy if you have really flexible skis. just lean back and pull your legs up. except i bent my fujis doing that

butters onto rails are a pretty tech trick, and they take a while to learn. i have been working pretty steadily on getting um, and i have got um pretty good. first, you have to be able to butter well. DUH! if you are a little sketchy with um, go practice. you should be able to nose butter, tail butter (prefferably in both directions, and be able to pop out of butters, into spins (try skiing switch, tail butter, and pop it into a 180. this is pretty much what your doing of the lip). once you got that shit down, find a gay little begginer rail or box, and make shure it has a nice wide lip. not a little narrow one, with a ton of kick. now, try it. the key it to really weight your tips, and muscle it around. cause you really want to pop off your tips. and when you do, you have to transfer your wieght forward. its really easy to be to far back, and then you end up falling off. they are hard to learn, but once you get um, they are super fun.

when u butter just try to flex as hard as u can liek lean back and put as much preser as u can on ur tails when i started i didint lean back to much bc i thoght i would look like a idot but get as far back as u can

actually a sharp bend in any spot on a ski and its bent forever, ive seen it happen. mainly with softer skis that you can bend to almost 90 degrees. thats when you end up with a kink in your edge.
