fibular avulsion fracture

anyone ever gotton a fibular avulsion fracture in their ankle? i just went to the doctor after walking on it for 2 days and he tells me I have this shit. fuck that im supposed to go to tahoe next weekend. he says i should ski for 6 weeks. anyone had one of these and got better quicker than thaT? this blooows
