Valcii made a similar thread just the other day re a pair im looking to buy. Having only skied on classic cambered skis the twin tip with rocker/camber/rocker profile really puzzles me in that i cant find (or figure out) what the effective edge is. My old skis were 1,75m and the effective edge was almost equal to the phisical edge (sans the rising tip)... with the rocker/camber/rocker im thinking maybe a longer ski would be required to give me the same effective edge but personally im still researching it. Good luck.
KravtZrockers insanely over rated unless your skiing out west / power / crud type snow. I wont give up blanks because they are one of the few solid solid twins that have full camber left on the market
ValciI usually do groomers and powder which around the parts i ski most is mostly through wooded terrain. I haven't bought a new pair of skis in a almost a decade so im just getting up to speed with all the new tech. Care to ellaborate on those skis you mentioned? whats the maker and model, maybe a link somewhere? ty.
BaconSteezburgerI am 5' 10", 150 pounds, and I ride short skis. I was a little tight on cash for the past couple years, so I have been riding 161cm very old full camber Chronics. Last season I had enough money to pick up some new skis and I bought some 179cm Blizzard Peacemakers, which have tons of rocker. Now I'm in the market for some new park skis, and was looking at Surface Blanks. Since I'm so used to shorter skis, I was thinking I should get the 170s and not the 180s. Thoughts?
s-handIf you wanna go really fast, get the 180s.
