Why is it called "chads gap"?

Because Charles Gagnier hit it on 1080 park skis...... I thought the name was pretty self-explanatory....

this thread deserves a serious answer...


it's worth noting that IIRC, yeah, gagnier did hit it on his park skis..but that's irrelevant to this question

chad's gap is named after chad zurinskas, a super badass alta dude who first decided on and guinea pigged the gap. he came up short a few times, and candide thovex asked if he could hit it. he landed it, and then later (not sure when), chad also cleared it at least once

this was all back in....1999 or so
