Replying to Is it the beginning of the end for the age of tech?
In the last couple of weeks, we've seen a relatively big change in the two major comps within that time; the prevalence of style over tech, with Vinny's I don't know what, and the sick course in pyeongchang, that was literally a style skiers dream, so it raises the question. Could this be the rise of style, and the beginning of the end for tech?
The last few years have, obviously, been dominated my tech, and to be competitive in any of the major tournaments you had to be able to throw some sort of triple. But is everyone getting sick of that? Will we see the emergence of more creative, feature packed courses like korea and the b&e, rather than the typical, linear ones were used to... And on these courses, will a styled af rodeo 5 win out over a triple?Thoughts?
Of course, as soon as someone throws a quad, tech will be back, so all the tech guys, chill out...
