Replying to Mountains having a personal feel

So in my 10+ years of skiing and my dads 35+ niether of us had ever had the experiecne of meeting the owner actually out skiing among the crowds and interactting with you. This past saturday at sugarbush our first tim there, the owner came into the lodge in the early morning and came over to us a started talking, gave us some tips on what runs were feeling good, and gave us great tips about the mountain. We both thought this was really cool and he even said he hoped I enjoyed their park (based on my tall t etc.). Does anyone else have owners like this at there mountain? Or a personal experience like it?
