It's cheap and they have a good architecture program. I'm more worried about my education than being able to ski even tho I would like to be able to do both.

Have you even looked in to it? They have two buildings devoted to it and there job placement is incredibly high after graduating

true. But SD is wayyyyy better than ND. SDSU or USD will be the same price as NDSU and you will be like an hour from great bear....not that that counts for much.

NDSU has like an 80% job placement rating out of college thanks to being in a town consistently rank to be one of the best in job creation and quality of life...also the drunkest.

So if NDSU is such a terrible school then why is Fargo thriving off its newly graduated students? (where 90% of them get a job in their field of study)

Gotta be honest. Fargo is thriving because of oil. That's why yall are getting hired there. They will take whatever they can get haha

Not really, Fargo is too far away from the oil fields. The city is thriving from tech and engineering. For instance, their STEM industry has grown by 40% and NDSU just opened a new STEM building to meet the demand. Fargo is home to some huge companies like John Deere, the second largest Microsoft campus, four big healthcare facilities, CNH, tons of others. It's like the number one city for start up businesses too. I won't deny that oil helped but it wasn't nearly as much as one would think.

I'm friends with a guy that actually went to NDSU for architecture. He ended up really hating it, so if you're wanting to go into it, know that it involves a lot of: being alone, drawing, and late nights.

I grew up around there. I have a bunch of friends that go there. I lived across the street from NDSU and worked construction building the new STEM building. Skiing there is pretty shitty. DL mountain and Andes are the 2 close places. Downtown fargo nightlife is pretty fun and Fargo is thriving right now. NDSU is also a very good school.
