Troublemakers, Mad Trix or 1080s?

I know nobody seems to like the teneighty around here, but I am looking for a twin that is also quick and responsive in the bumps and decent outside the park. These are the three skis that I can get fairly cheap. Can anybody help?

i would personally go mad trix, but troublemakers would be good too. the 1080s dont hold up too well in bumps and crud..they chatter a bit

get the TMs or the STLs, I've skied them both and the STLs are like Super TMs

mad trix are still like the most durable skis you can get, especially for park, and do well in bumps. I would definitely make that your first choice

I have experiance with all 3 of these skis. I wouldn't reccomend any of them, actually.

TM's have horrible, weak, edges. mine were destroyed in 2 weeks. They have awesome pop for maybe 2-3 weeks and then they lose their energy entirely.

1080's are foamcore. this is junk. they will last a season if you're lucky. they have no pop, they feel like mush.

Mad-Trix are solid skis, they will never die on you, but they are an old design at this point, pretty narrow waist, they are heavy as fuck, and have a dead feeling to them. they lay down a good carve, and are generally powerful skis, if you can get used to the feel.

so... choose your poison.

Thanks everybody. I'm leaning towards the Troublemakers or maybe the Mad Trix. I might have to decide by the graphics which the Tms win I think. If anybody else has an opinion feel free to throw in. By the way, Deezl, you're price is awesome but I don't think I want a ski that's only 165. I was looking for a 175 or 180.

well what kind of skiing do you want to do?

The TMs and Mad Trix are both going to be great for park, and pretty good for all mountain. But the Mad Trix is really, really, really stiff. Think of the stiffest ski you've been on and double that. Then the TMs I have no experience with them, but they have an average flex.

I have limited park experience so I'm sure the Tm's and the Mad Trix are within my realm of ability in the park, but I want a quick ski that handles well in the bumps and trees.

for what you want, i think the Scratch FS would be perfect. You should consider the Ar5 also.

as far as yuor choices i'd go tm. the only problem with the tm's is that their edges are to smooth. they brake easily. I had the mad trix and i for one can tell you that thye werent great just because of the stiffness

^ I think opinions was what he was asking for. Dude, if you are goign to do bumps, stay away from the madtrix. And depending on how tall you are 165 may be good for bumps because they are more manouverable than the 175s.

Yeah I would demo them for sure, but my local ski shop said that it costs like 30-40 bucks a day to demo. And if I demo 1 or 2 skis that's quite cost. So I decided to get on here and see if anybody had any thoughts or experience with the skis. And as far as size, I'm 5'11' and ride 170s right now and am very happy with them. But I would rather go longer than shorter from 170. But 170 worked quite well.

i know demos cost a lot, but everyone has different opinions and the only way to see what you like is to ride something... so maybe pick one ski, demo that (thats 35-40 bucks once) and if you like it, buy it... thats better than buying a pair and not liking it and trying to turn around and sell it... isnt it?
