Connor_SullivanSo I visited friends in CT over last weekend; friends that have been skiing much longer than I have, but have not made any progression. I was teaching them a few things like how to ski switch and just basic tricks and one thing I couldn't get through to them was how to keep from swinging their ski poles and arms around like They're trying to Chop my head off. Any ski instructors or skiers know how to help fix this problem so they don't look like a bunch of gapers?
Download-My-Appswhat are their hands doing in the in run? Im will to bet they are off balance on their take off and the pole swing is just a by-product
DeforestationNine times out of ten, asking a ski instructer to give you advice on skiing is like asking a baseball player how to hit a tennis ball.
THEDIRTYBUBBLEHave them lock their hands on their hips in true OG thug style.

ski instructors generally are not that good at skiing when push comes to shove. they just understand how to take great 12mph turns with form. anything past that they're useless

Squirrel_MurphyAt least wear boxer briefs, or briefs. If you want to maintain superior control, compression shorts will keep that thing from flailing around and keeps your bean bag snug too.

daOysterI like to let mine swing free. Act's like a counter weight to keep me gyroscopically balanced in the air. Think of it like a cat's tail.
