College students of Germany/Austria which is the best colleges to for skiing? (future erasmus student)

Innsbruck has the best location, but the uni s*cks. Munich isnt too bad either. Take a train for an hour for 10 bucks to Austria/South Germany for some sweet bigger parks. LMU or TU. Second one is more science orientated, both are excellent. Salzburg is really close to some big resorts too, but an appartment there is even more pricey than in Innsbruck or Munich.

yeah if all you care about is skiing, innsbruck wins. Sweet town, decent bus service to the mountains, some of the best parks in europe 1 hour away open sept to june, and heaven forbid those 2 months when stubai is closed you can't make it without skiing, hintertux is only an hour and a half. I think they also have a public hike park near innsbruck in the winter

Munich does look kinda sick and plus they have that new indoor fridge. I think it might be there or innsbruck. Do German Unis have ski clubs like in the UK? Are the any ski intervaristies and stuff like that? Im just wondering how hard will it be to find people who I can ski with if I go to Munich.

My home is about 30km south of Munich, so I have many friends that go either to the LMU or the TU. (I didnt want to go studying :D) They told me that they dont have sth. like a ski club owned by the university, but everybody who lives in southern Bavaria can shred pretty well :D You will meet tons of pretty good boarders or skiers there. In Germany we have in general not this university sport as in America.

In Innsbruck you will definitely meet a little a bit more skiers/boarders than in Munich, because many foreigners from "no snow" countries go to Munich studying cause its free :D But in Munich we have sweet human made river waves, which are always fun to surf. Maybe an option after spring^^

Depending on your studies Zurich might be the place to go with awesome skiing pretty close by. Beats everything in Germany by more than a mile in terms of skiing as well as quality of the university. The ETH Zurich is among world's best in engineering.

This makes me want to go to college in Innsbruck/Munich x) Learning German wouldn't be that much of a problem as I already speak Dutch and English.

Lol my mother studied there and she said the mountains are pretty far (for Europeans) away. It takes longer to get to nice resorts than Innsbruck/Munich.

If it covers Switzerland go to Lausanne. They have an ETH too and they teach either in French or English and the sickest resorts of the Alps are just in front of your door....Geneva is pretty nice too and has some nice places to ski aroiund. Only if you wanna be close to the Alps and in a German speaking part of Switzerland. But I doubt that they have an Erasmus program for Switzerland, because their universities cost money (around 3000-4000 dollar a year)
