Rossignol FKS 120?

I know NS is plastered with questions about these bindings but I'm just seeking a little advice. So I weigh about 145lbs and currently use squires, (got them when I first got into park) I have been having a lot of problems with the brakes literally just shattering for no reason and I've been thinking maybe my ability has exceeded the binding's capability.

So I'm looking into the Rossignol FKS 120s, I've been reading a lot of reviews and asking shops about them and it seems they would be great for me.

My main question is how durable are these in comparison to the 140s?(less metal I hear) and how reliable are the brakes? Thanks

I have them and I blew the breaks out completely after probably around 15 days on hill. I'm around 135 lbs. Whatever setting you think your dins should be at, crank them up another one. If you are super nose heavy when you land switch, the heal piece will lift up a little bit because they aren't like a traditional binding, and the breaks will drop and drag on the snow. This is avoidable by turning up your dins a little bit. I know a lot of people who have the 120s and no one else seems to have this problem tho.

Any bindings breaks will be destroyed if you eject in a bad way while landing switch.

op, as for the 120s having less metal than the 140s, it is false. The 140 and 120 are the same, except for the Din spring. Only time you get more metal is with the 155s or 180s.

If you're wrecking a lot switch, fks may not be for you. However, they are solid bindings and will easily get the job done. Maybe look into attack 13s, or sth 2 13s. The sth has super easy brake replacement, whereas the fks you have to un mount the heel piece to replace the brakes.

I didn't eject when they blew out but tru. and also i mean hey the breaks are sticking out sideways but Ive skied them like that since last season and I barely notice it. The only time I am reminded is when the random dude behind me in the lift line giggles and lets me know they are shot. Me and my friends have tried to keep count of how many times that's happened and I believe its around the 25 range

Should I look into the Griffons then? or do you think I'd have similar brake problems as with the Squires?

Well, if you're wrecking while landing switch, you will have the same problem with any binding.

griffons will work, but I'm just not a marker guy as I don't like the design. I highly reccommend the sth 2. Super solid binding, and easily interchangeable brakes.

I still am a huge fan of fks pivot binding and the first comment its not turning up dins its turning up forward pressure. If i were you id go for fks
