SkiBum.I would also like to point out this is what you get when a real park building company does it right. SPT...take notes.
Meh, some things you're going to hate some things you're going to like. SPT has built a lot of the setups you loved in addition to some you obviously hated

SkiBum.I don't like anything SPT has done. At all.
this jump was pretty fucking sweet last year. Idk, I'm picky, I don't agree with everything, I have my own gripes with builds different companies have done, but to say that everything they've done sucks is just stupid imo.

Along with the other 50+ cookie cutter jumps they have made for private events, x games, jew tour, etc...Yeah, they can charge a lot of money and build features, woohoo...
I would also rather pay $30,000 for shitty tug jobs in SoHo then pay their "consulting" fee.
HolteThe wallride on the left looks sick. Haven't seen a really cool comp wallride since Wally's last gold at X, which was 2012...ish...?
Also, can someone explain the deal with the Olympic Test Event? It's just a proof of concept with no FIS points, right?
It's a FIS World Cup event. FIS has a requirement to hold at least one World Cup event on any Olympic venue, prior to the Olympic year. These are known as "test events". It is run by FIS as a standard World Cup event, and counts as one for points etc.
There will be a Halfpipe test event at Phenix Park next season. They may also run another Slopestyle World Cup next year, but they don't necessarily "have to", as this one will fulfill the FIS test event requirement.
(There were similar requirements for Sochi, however the crazy weather and lack of snow over there forced them to cancel the scheduled Slopestyle test event in 2013, so the Sochi Games scenario, where the first event on that course was the Olympics itself, was a very rare anomaly.)
