Googles and powder

soo most people that ski park wear there googles under there helmet but ive been watching some pow vids latley, and how come most people that ski pow wear there googles over there helmet?

Under the helmet started out as a park thing and a lot of the big mountain dudes you see in those vids were never really heavy in the park scene. Over the the helmet is maybe more functional also cuz you can lift googles without tilting your whole shit back.

Because no one on here wants to admit goggles under the helmet is the most unpractical thing ever for riding big lines.

goggles fall down and get in your way under the helmet. and my helmet actually fits my head so there's no room for the goggles. also some goggles have that sticky stuff on the strap that prevents it from moving when it's over your helmet. it's just a better fit and doesn't move when over your helmet

people who are more serious about pow riding often pick gear for function over fashion. your helmet fits a lot better if there isn't a toque and goggle strap sitting between it and your head.

it allows the goggle to properly vent and not allow moisture to seep in and fog your shit up, at least from my own personal experiences. especially if you're a sweaty-ass dude like myself.

switched back to over the helmet this season and there is no way I'm ever going back to under the helmet. If you're gonna wear a helmet, get one that fits

Its not a big deal. I dont even notice. Have always worn goggles over helmet; helps stabilize the helmet.
