What was your funniest ski related fail?

Mine was actually my friend.... There was this butter box type feature that had no jump, so you had to jump on to it yourself. But, the snow was so deep that day you really couldn't see that there wasn't a jump. So anyway my friend comes riding up to this thing on his snowboard and smashes into the front of it head on. He faceplanted and slid the whole thing on his stomach and then fell face first off the end of the box. It was hilarious because the chairlift was right next to it and everyone on the chairlift died laughing.

At snowflex me and this guy had the same size feet and we switched skis. He said his skis had a lot of flex so I tried a nose press. Little did I know his dins were at 4 and this was the result.

i saw a bunch of girls sitting down so i tried to ski pretty close to them while in a fast turn but lost my edge on ice and fell. the kind of fall where you go from on your skis to on your back with your skis straight in the air. i then did the same thing about a month later to make it even worse.

I was skiing down past a restaurant on the mountain and some gaper had left their skis out in the way and I saw them before I could do anything about it.. I tried to bunny hop them but clipped the skis, double ejected and face planted right in front of everyone in the restaurant..

got off the main lift at my local hill and saw a swarm of about 40 gapers all decked out in rental skis and amber lenses. me being the fag i am i tried to do that thing where you lift up one ski, drag the tip on the snow and go to switch. well i did than and ending up falling in the worst way possible and ended up screaming seamen on the ground. probably the funniest fail ive ever had on skis.

Did this once on an actual full sized jump, scariest thing ever, almost a switch front flip...

Spring laps in Utah, found a low no cross rope to tranny with untouched powder that had melted into thick slush. Going with decent speed, popped a steely ollie over the rope bunch style and continued to stick in the slush taters, lost one ski, front flipped/tomahawked, other ski spiked into the ground with me and my friend laughing in tears while the stopped chairlift RIGHT NEXT TO ME erupted lmao best fall of my life

Cased a jump so hard that both of my skis stayed on the knuckle perfectly parallel to each other and my body slid down the headwall right under the chairlift.

Still don't understand that retarded jump design... If you fell, you would slide like 400 vert down the hill. Chairlift got a great laugh out of my particular crash though.

I usually do some kind of nose press or drag my tails for the first bit when I get on a chairlift. One time I dragged my tips too long, they dug in and I flipped out of the chair on to my face. It was night skiing, so not busy, but me and the lifties had a pretty solid laugh.

So many... the power went out when I was on a two person chair alone at Mt. Hood Skibowl and I screamed for a straight 30 seconds. The power was out in Govy and everything so it was all black everywhere. So fucking scary but everyone laughed at me when the lights came back on. This was probably about five years ago.

More recently, I did something very, very gapey. If any of you are familiar with Park City, I'll provide details so you know what's going on, if you don't, this is still funny as shit. So I was coming out of NeffLand at PCMR and I was on my way down to King Con. When you exit NeffLand its a pretty flat, straight blue fun with a pretty sharp turn at the end that takes you down to the bottom of a different quad. Now, it was around 4:00 on a weekday, and it was pretty quiet. One of my girlfriends and I had skipped school to come up and do some spring laps. We wanted to get down to the bottom of this quad so we could get back to our car without having to go down this horrible cat track (again, park city people you know what I'm talking about). So, I was hauling down this run, and everything is going pretty good. I'm ripping some amazing spring corn and I'm feeling pretty good. As I toss my skis sideways, I get caught in a pile of slush, and all the sudden I'm doing a dub front flip straight into the fence over what's basically a cliff. Of course, as I sat there completely tangled in b-net rope a fucking patroller skis by and while she was untangling me the asked me where I was from. I said "here" and she goes "oh, really? thats funny, usually I can tell."

tl;dr i hauled ass into a pile of slush, ate shit into a fence, and got made fun of by a ski patroller

Layed out a massive backflip straight to the gucci plateau. Probably the biggest backflip I've ever done. People on the knuckle of the next jump are screaming "OHHHH". That same jump is really shitty and the speed sucks for it so no one hits it, and I figured I'd try and be cool and slash the top of the lip and come to a stop. Well I had way too much speed. So I thought to myself "Maybe I'll have enough speed to clear this jump". Then as soon as I get to the lip I thought "Nah imma play it safe". I went to stop and immeadiately caught an edge. I then overshot it big air dave style and landed right on my chest. Everyone on the knuckle then started laughing at me.

Night skiing at key a month or so ago and I was trying a 360 nosebutter and I caught my edge as I was bringing it around and completely faceplanted

During a gaper day I was using poles that were too fucking long and while I was turning one of them somehow got between my skis it grabbed the snow really good, nutted me and then spun me sideways until I caught an edge and slammed into the ground sideways. Between getting hit in the nuts and the concussion I received from hitting my head I puked in the middle of the trail. i actually couldn't see clearly out of my right eye for an hour afterward
