Why aren"t coats cool?

maybe I'm old and like to stay warm..... but a xxxxxxl hoody isnt gonna do it for me. cmon kids! get a coat

I only wear coats when it is less than 10 degrees out. I feel my hoodies are more comfortable then wearing jackets.

Layering, it's all about layering. I tend to wear a hoodie because I have a lot of layers on under it, therefore it's warm enough. But why the layers? I find it best to wear a whole ton because of the ability to change how warm you are down to a t-shirt. It's much more comfortable being able to control your temperature like that. Wearing a jacket would just throw me off.

I don't really know why I don't change out the hoodie for a shell, I guess I kind of like the hoodie look.

All I wear are coats. Who gives a shit. Then again I ski in the northwest so they're kind of mandatory unless its sunny and warm.

Idk, i still wear a coat. That said rock a hoodie and flannel a lot because I'm always working and even when it's cold I'm sweating if I'm layered up too hard.

Also this winter on the east it's been like 300 degrees, so if coats aren't in, it might have to do with the weather.

I've been working in a tshirt half the days I've been doing a lot of handwork in the park this season. What the fuck is winter anyway

Lapping park with a hoodie is the shit. You can move and spin with less constriction than most jackets. I definitely notice the difference with the jackets I own.

Idk, I guess it's like running a 5K with a jacket on. I want something I can move around in easily that's flexible

But if it's cold, fuck the hoodie. i'll wear a jacket... I hate being cold.

This for sure. Whenever I ski in a jacket I'm a lot more constricted and I definitely won't do tricks as often, and when I do they're typically simple ones. If I'm competing in shitty weather I'll wear my jacket until my run and then leave it at the top for my run so I can move more freely.

Turns out skiing in CA is super warm so unless it's snowing you can often get away with layering down. Same deal for the lower elevations. Noticed that if you're lapping park at Breck you barely need any layers, but if you go up a couple thou to the peaks then yeah you'll need protection. It's not all about being a badass, but it does help to live in a ski town cause you'll get used to the cold pretty well.
