That one friend that seems invincible

So this kinda me but even more so I have one friend and I assume alot of people have that one friend like this....... They do the sketchiest shit ever we get a little worried or he falls a lot super bad and when we go to see if hes ok cus it looks like he just died hes nowhere to be found cus hes already at the bottom ready to try again. Im basically asking if anybody has a friend who gets hurt and looks like they are gonna be real hurt and it turns out they are totally fine. Also does that ever happen to you. An example would be I was trying a switch K fed on a tall tub bar, messed up and nutted and accidentally did a back flip when I hit the ground. Or I did a super man front flip to my head last year and tucked at the last second.... I came out with almost no pain from both of those situations and everybody thought I was a reincarnation of Jesus because they thought I died both times because of how bad it looked.


So do you have that one friend or does this ever happen to you?

I've had some gnarly crashes this year but I'm still young so I just bounce back up. I'm comfortable with most tricks I've done but usually it's just from over of under rotating or over shooting

My one friend tried to dub backy a 65 footer with no helmet. He over rotated and landed on his back at the bottom. Then he won a rail jam 2 hours later.

Every time conditions are sketchy and we need to test a jump or some big ass feature, we tell my buddy Burton to hit it, and he just full speed tucks and usually overshoots half the time. Fuckin legend.

I saw my buddy almost die on me yesterday. He gapped a small huck, but his skis dug under the snow and he couldnt save it or ditch it. So he hit the tree head first at high speeds.
When I got to him his convulsions stopped, but he was choking on his blood. Got him stabilized and patrol moved in. He regained consciousness, but was going in and out. Around 30mins after the crash he could start to talk, but it was pure jibberish. An hour later we were talking at the ambulance and telling jokes and 2 hrs later he was texting me from his bed, fully alert.

He gave me a hell of a scare, but he moved to bulletproof status this week.

I've had several falls where I thought "This is how I'll die" before I hit the ground... and I have not had any skiing related injuries in my life. I feel like somebody is looking out for me in situations like those. I mean, overshooting a 50-footer to flat and double ejecting with icy midwest conditions and being unscathed is hard to wrap my mind around... how the hell.

Yup. Built a new feature? We've got a guy. Dont know the speed? Dont even sweat it lol. The kid is a homie though we love him, he just has crazy ass ADD and is pretty fucked up so we can basically get him to do anything. He landed his first 9 over a 25 ft deathtrap of a jump in the middle of a 30 ft trail with woods on both sides lol. I got pretty damn lucky the other day here though:

My jaw was legit the first thing to contact the rail after my hands, a few days later and i cant feel a thing, but im by no means invicisble lol, just got lucky.

I've crashed a fuck ton and gotten beat up a bit but I've always gotten up and finished off the day. Which if you read the OP, that's pretty much how he described it... jesus you people will literally go so far out of your way to shit on me. It's ridiculous.

Apply some age to your theory and you'll find a lot of these guys luck eventually runs out.

Alright. Plz calm down. I know you didn't break your collarbone. I was just making a joke about how you hurt your shoulder on your first backie. Don't make it into anything more.

Also, I believe OP was talking about certain people's ability to avoid injury after what appear to be bad falls. Not people who power through whatever problems they have on the hill (that probably applies to most people on here).
