Underrated Parks

Keystone, Breck, Mammoth, etc. are known for having incredible parks.

That being said, there are probably a good amount of places that don't get all the attention that Breck, Key, etc. get.

IMO: Winter Park is underrated. Overall really nice park, unique features, well kept, and Dark Territory.

Let me hear your opinions..

AidanCskiSugarloaf has an awesome park. Big jumps, and well built features. Not to mention dope skiing all over the mountain and a great town. Park there doesn't get skied as much or noticed tho cause it's so far north.


eh I disagree. Sugarloaf's park is pretty good (the jumps especially) but could be better. The rails all feel crammed in so close that hitting them in a line feels wierd.

I think Sunday River's park on the other hand is very underrated. Probably one of the best ones on the east coast but you very rarely see a lot of edits coming out of there.

RiceDefinitely would not put Thredbo next to Keystone, Breck or Mammoth.

It's fun, but there's a lot less features, and Merritts gets absolutely bombarded with gappers.


That tube at Merritts on your insta looks so nice. But yeah you're right Thredbo's park features are quality over quantity.

I would say Copper's park is waay better than pretty good but that's just my opinion. I like the fact that it is really spread out. You can hit the minipipe and a shit ton of features and you have almost been hitting shit for the entire length of the lift. Add in the fact that Union Creek is a high speed quad and you are golden. And also less crowded as you mentioned.

A-51 is way better for progression with I-70 though.

I definitely agree. I just haven't been in a few years. It's always been pretty good in my opinion but the Unveiled episode made it look so sick. I get to check it out this weekend for the first time in a while so I'm super stoked

Mad River Mountain in Ohio. Very small, but the park is pretty solid all the way through, and a decent jump line. Maybe not great compared to the other parks in the Midwest but definitely the best in OH.

robert.clarkeiiiOkemo has some nice parks. Deff underated


I went to Okemo last year and was blown away by the parks... They were super nice, probably better than killington....

Sugarloaf is nice but sunday rivers park is absolutely unreal. Its sculpted so perfectly and their big jump game is so much nicer than sugarloaf. That said sugarloaf does it better than most east coast parks.

I wish more people gave love to Mt. Sunapee. We got Brady Perron and the Bishop brothers coming out of here and LJ dropped an edit out of there a (long) while back. I admit in the past their park was shit, but this year, I consider Sunapee to be the best park I've ever ridden AND its at my home mountain so Im hyped. I like it more than Killi, Loon, dub V, Okemo, Stratton, almost everywhere with a solid rep although I haven't been to snow in a long ass time to compare them.

Also almost never crowded considering the only dedicated park shredders are the park crew and the crew Im in

I was talking about the amount of runs you get. The amount of runs somewhat makes up how bad the park gets after 1 hour of being open.

You have to stay on Gulch or Inferno after 10:00 AM or else you're skiing park on boilerplate ice. Honestly, I can't stand Carinthia any more because of the crowds.

Very under rated park on the east coast is Windham in NY. they dont have the biggest setup in the world but have a decent variety and amount for being a relatively small NY mountain. Check out their insta, they build stuff all the time @windhamparks

Springs is overrated to be honest with you. I've rode quite a few places as well as living in Utah and co and springs hyped up their parks more than anything when they can do so much more with what they have and how much they boast about having those stupid transworld "best park on the east coast" awards. Plus ever since I went out west and came back east I've felt the vibe at springs is so weak.

Holiday has so much potential with their hills a high-speed lifts, but they're park crew is pretty sad and their parks are even sadder.

Just got back from tremblant last week, park was alright but it doesn't even compare to MSLM when it comes to Canadian parks

Currently I'd say there's no comparison but once they get their full park open its got such a great feel to it that I liked more than MSLM just IMO

Would anyone consider Sun Valley's park up there?? IMO Sun Valley's jumps rival the best. Plus you can get 15 laps through the jump line in 45 minutes.

keep an eye on grouse in Vancouver. The circlejerk is still around Seymour, but the grouse park crew is putting in work this year, and I'm excited to see where its going to go in the future. this year and last a bunch of interesting features have been added, (triple drop, concrete ledge, concrete pad, multiple types of benches, parking gate) and in general the parks flow well, and is well maintained.

For Montana, Big Sky has a super fun park that isn't talked about a lot and Schweitzer Idaho is sick this year, you don't see a ton of edits from either but they are really nice.
