How do you navigate the mountain?

I have a below average memory but for some reason a pretty decent memory when it comes to mountain trails. I usually don't know all the names of the runs but can remember which trails I like based on sight and lifts. Unless its Killington where I ski most, i know most of the trails there. I find that skiing by myself helps to remember trail names, when im following someone I am on autopilot. I can also stare at a trail map for hours at night if I'm going somewhere new. I can remember how to get around most moutains i been to in the west even if it was only for one time. Those experiences are burned into my memory. How about you?

my home hill has like 10 runs parallel to each other so like if you cant figure it out you're pretty stupid imo.

New mountain for me I go with this.
1.find park rat
2. Follow to park
3. ????
4. Profit
In all seriousness I usually stare at a trail map the morning of then head out, but if its a new resort ill try to get to both sides of the resort and work my way in the middle to try and find good powder stashes/ tree runs or ways to the parks.
Example is my first time going to bachelor found my way around with ease couldn't tell you a run name but watching the latest real laps video I know exactly where they are kinda cool to get different perspectives of resorts you've seen in edits
