What you and everyone else on newschoolers should do this right now, call thebthree or four credit bureaus I don't remember how many pretty sure its 3, and lock your credit. That way anything that has to do with or will affect your credit needs to be verified by you before its done. it cost like $40 to do but it's definitely cheaper an identity theft.

As per your credit score I go into your bank most the time that give you a free FICO score if you ask for it.

I can get my credit score from my credit card. I want to see the actual report to make sure there is nothing on it I didnt open. I figure credit karma is my best option. Anyone else use it?

If you actually think your identity was stolen you need to call the credit bureau and get that squared away. Not a website call the credit bureau and then have your credit frozen.

You also seem to be asking two different things if you want to check your credit card statement you can just call the credit card company if you want to check your actual credit need to call the credit bureau and see if there are any mortgages loans or anything taken against you you need your identity to prove you are who you say you are to get that report. The sooner you do this the better you need to call them and explain you think your identity has been stolen the will run a report a bqckroundcheck and tell you you any loans or death that was taking out in your name was. Its going to have to be done through your social security number since I take out a loan it's put against your identity not your credit card.

I know it was stolen. What I dont know is if someone has used that information already to open a credit line.

I checked my credit score once and it said I took out a mortgage when I was 13 lol. Now I check mine every once in a while. Use credit karma, thats what I do and I've never paid for anything!

So stop talking to me and immediately call the credit bureau the longer you wait the worse is going to get call the credit bureau Tell them you had your identity stolen and you need to freeze your credit. It'll be 40 then no one can take anything out unless you personally approve it
