So does heating up a sticker after it is applied to let say a ski or helmet prolong the period that it will stay on the surface you put it on? I've always wondered this and was wondering if it would work. Any other NS'ers do this?

i ride ak jj's and they have a non stick topsheet, i applied a few die cuts and heated em up to the point that they were soft and malleable, and they still came off after a week of riding

I usually heat them up with a blow dryer to push any air bubbles out. I usually don't heat them up otherwise.

i always do. it makes mine stay on longer and if you have a wrinkle it shrinks it right up. just put a sticker on my nonstick skis and it has stayed on so far

I used a hair dryer for the stickers on my k2 shreditor 102's and they stuck really well. Also heating up stickers makes them come off effortlessly which is really nice.

Yup. Just run a lighter over the sticker after you put it on. Melts it and makes it stick better.

I usually put my hot waxing iron on a low temp then run the iron over the stickers.
All times are Eastern (-5)
