Today, i was skiing up in the poconos, pa...after a few runs noticed A kid with gold line chronics, line chronics i was heading to the park and so was he...i was so pissed at what i saw him not do, on the first table (10ft) he could only grab one ski, and didn't even clear it!!!

I'm so sick of seeing kids that suck with PE's, Chronics, even Armadas that suck...i'm not pro and neither are my skis, but i just get pissed at the crap

relax bro, you in pa, where 360s get wow's from on lookers and people think hunter gear and jeans are sick to where on the mountain......leave it be...... Pa may has some of the worst skiers but it boast the highest spirit of any newschoolers ive seen to date on the east coast. Theres sick riders with sick skis you just have to find em.

i disagree. if you can afford nice skis why not get them? if you have rich parents why would you want to buy some cheap used shitty skis when you could buy anything you wanted. it only pisses me off if they act like they are really good and talk shit. but if they are trying to progress and just having fun with it its not a big deal. just dont be jealous of their nice skis.

I got an idea, why don't you go tell him that you can't stand him just because of the skis he rides.

I suck too and I'm just waiting for the day someone like you says something about my gear. I'm gonna kick the shit outta the guy that says something.

Why don't you worry about learning something new, or if you are so goddamn good why don't you teach that dude some shit and help progress the sport and its rep.

if this shit bothers you, you should also notice that there are probably hundreds of people on your hill with some of the nicest freestyle snowboards that can't do shit in the park. people want nice gear. you don't have to be good to pull $500 out of your wallet, so it shouldn't surprise you that people of all skills will have nice gear.

Well if you are neither pro nor super 'core' who are you to criticize someone for their ability or equipment.

I ride nice skis, have nice new boots, and I'm nothing special in the park. I go out to have fun, to try to improve for my own satisfaction. You should too, and consider your attitude.

yeah dude, there are many dudes in the park who are riding their first pair of twins, and by the looks of things PEs and Chronics seem to be the most popular because of the price. I see dudes not clear the tables and on their next run through i just give them advice telling them its far easier just to not speed check so much and just clear the whole table. people respond really positively when someone better than them at skiing takes the time to give them a little positive advice.

the only people that piss me off are the people that use the rails kickers as jumps and go off the side. but i couldnt care less what skis they are wearing. if they are wearing twinnies its more profit for the companies and more money going back into them, so i guess its a good thing.

the more people buying twin tips means the more money will be sunk into that aspect of the sport because of the increased demand. if 60yr-olds wanna ride armadas, then that's sick for them. maybe they'll learn somethin new, and if not, then at least a company like armada will stay afloat. i've seen places renting out scratch fs's to mad people, 50yr-olds on arv's and as jealous as i am, i'm also glad that 'newschool' or at least the skis are finally getting some respect.

the chronic is a sick ski, but it has a cheaper price without sacrificing technology, so people can get the best ski possible for the lowest price possible. Line wanted to make a great ski affordable, the fact that you saw that kid on gold chronics only proves that their sales are good.

part of the problem is shops just trying to make a dollar. im not talking about the suckass kids who buy twins, but the 60 yr olds riding armadas but barely beening able to ski. Example: when i was teaching a year or two ago, this guy walked up to me super pissed. he starts swearing at me about 'why cant i turn???, I used to be able to, qand i bought these new skis and now i cant!!!.' He was a beginner intermediate, and some fagot shop worker had sold him a pair of 175 race skis. I couldnt even bend them. So, the people riding twins is wrong just from the fact it helps dampen their ski ability. sure it helps the company, but at what expense. that old dude prolly could barely turn, if the shop sold him twins they should have suggested a better ski for him. a lot of this crap is due to money grubbing shop workers.

Shit man, 4 years ago I was on 161 1080's that I got a sick deal on when I was still snowboarding and I learned to carve and jump with them and a year later I learned switch 5's, 7's, and flares...people can improve quickly so watch out, that kid might be sicker than you next year.

Seriously though, we skiiers have to stick together in the park. I live in MD and ski in PA so whenever i see another skiier on twins its like were automatic brethren. When he came back up you shouldve told him to watch you, and then you shouldve gone and thrown a safety on the 10 footer. Then he would do it right after you i gaurantee, then just show him some more shit. Soon enough he'll be better then most people.

BY the way thats how it happened to me, i sucked when i first got my skogens, hurt myself a bunch of times till someone told me what i was doing wrong.

One more thing to add, ON A PEACEFUL NOTE, he might not know that he is supposed to clear the table.

I know it sounds stupid but when me and my friends first started riding in the park, we thought that the flat area was the landing zone and the transition was actually to give momentum for the next jump. It wasn't until another friend of ours explained it that we started clearing the tables.

Every one including uresealf on this site probaly couldnt clear a table top when they first began. Also for all you know he could have jsut messed up on that one run. I know that around once a day I dont clear a jump and come up short so maybee he just skrewed up that run. Basically you are judging how good of a skier he is by watching him hiy one crappy jump in crappy pensylvania. Get my point?
