spaceghostpurpGet comfortable throwing single flips and then one day nut up and do a dub flip. Then once you get comfortable with single corks/rodeos, nut up and take it to dub. Also break down tricks ie dub 12 = cork 5 to cork 5 to 180, or cork 3 to cork 9
OxcilicI know. My issue is I don't know where to learn doubles before doing one on snow.

BASEDJAHyou have access to an olympic trampoline and a foam pit? how did you even learn 360s??
JakeBarrett1,2, fuck it. Go and Huck it.
Really wanting to throw dub 12 this weekend but I'm real scared. Kinda landed a kang a few years back but fucked my head up on the second try so I haven't tried em since. Dubs are really fun though
Mikael13For double backflips have really solid backflips and learn them on a tramp first. Overrotate your backflips to your back. Once you start feeling comfortable with that do a backflip onto your back, and from your back 3/4 backflip onto your feet. This simulates the feeling of going into your second flip and will making your first try less scary.
For when you are actually gonna try it just do it like a normal backflip but jump higher and flip harder. If you are on a garden trampoline you are probably gonna underrotate so definetly don't open up before you can actually see the trampoline.
OxcilicDo you need to sign up for a gymnastics club or just practice a lot on the regular tramps at a place like Skyzone? I don't have access to olympic trampolines except one at a local tramp place which is surrounded by walls for some reason so it's not that safe. I also have access to a foam pit... is that all you need?
MinggDo not do them at skyzone on their normal tramps. Maybe into a foam pit but those tramps don't have enough bounce whatsoever. Also don't try doubles unless you have a cool person monitoring there. Otherwise they will kick you out.
Like smuffy said, break them down. Do dubs to your back and roll over. For forward things, over rotate to your back, not to your stomach unless you want to die. Always send it to your feet, butt or back.
Typical progression imo would be singles into pit, singles on tramp, over rotate to pit, dubs into pit, over rotate/roll over on tramp, then dubs on tramp. Definitely learn dub front and dub backs since they're super easy.

drytshirtcontestdude dont be a pussy, you dont even need a trampoline to do a flip, theres soft snow to fall in which is better. doubles are as simple as going really fast, hitting a jump, tucking and grabbing, land in pow
ben_southworthAlso surprised nobody has mentioned diving boards. Maybe that's old school now, but it's a real easy way to get comfortable spinning and flipping on just about any axis, w/ zero risk.
MinggI don't think I would recommend diving boards haha. I've never dubbed off one but even sending back flips on them sketches me out. Slamming on water hurts so much more than it would in a foam pit. But I guess if you like diving boards and it works for you then go for it. It just hurts me hahaha
ben_southworthNo pain no gain Mingg! Diving boards are great cause you won't cause serious injury, but when you slap onto your face it's a good reminder not to mess up again. And there weren't really foam pits when I was focused on learning new tricks...

-emile-did you just recommend tryin dub front as your first dub ?
wtf
MinggNah, not really. I mean, they were my first dubs but they're also a bit harder to land on tramp than dub backs. I think on axis dubs are easier so I think that would be a good place to start, that's all I was saying. And doing a dub front into a pit is super easy and helps to get the feel of what a dub feels like air awareness wise!
-emile-dub front is a recipe for death.
easiest dub is hands down dub back, followed closely by dub misty 9
