Hitting switch

For me I got comfortable hitting small jumps switch by just getting comfortable ridding around the mountain switch.

Alright so today I just started hitting bigger jumps switch over my left shoulder, I usually look over my right so it's a whole different feeling. Also I spin left but I ski switch better over my right. So first I just started off going on mellow groomers switch over my left shoulder and got used to skiing like that. There's not many tips I can give you to help besides staggering your skis, but just do what feels right and try carving. Once you get good at that go to the smallest jump you can find and just do switch 180s. They come really easily after learning how to ski switch. So just work your way up to bigger tricks and bigger jumps. In just one day of doing that I was able to learn switch 5s over the biggest jump at my hill (about 35 feet)

For hitting rails switch it's way easier than it looks for ride on rails at least. I'm used to skiing switch over my right shoulder as I said and I go right foot forwards so it's really easy to spin an unnatural 90 onto a risk so just line your self up and pop and do your 90 and look at the end of the rail the whole time. hitting urban on rails switch is a lot harder, you need to pop hard and wait until your skis are above the rail and 90. Also switch 270s on come quickly too because you can see the rail the whole time and spin naturally and slide the rail naturally.

Also switch tricks are really easy once you get good at it and they look really cool, so just keep practicing and work your way up

Like the other guys said, practice skiing switch.

But also, go to a platform high dive and practice switch spins off the platforms, start standing backwards on the edge of the platform and work on keeping your shoulders, hips and feet in line as you take off into a spin, you'll have switch corks in the bag in a few weekd

Can you hit boxes/rails switch? Last season I tried doing like switch 1s and always died. I never got a good pop and sometimes I would be backseat, sometimes too far forward and it was really inconsistent. Over the summer I learned how to hit boxes switch and it actually helped a lot. When you go switch onto a box/rail like, you have to be balanced or you're gonna slip out. You also have to pop and then turn or your not gonna do it right. So for me to learn boxes it helped me figure out how to stay balanced when popping!

One of the hardest things for me was my upper body being at 90, while my feet were still parallel to the hill and I would spin before popping. So what I had to do, was kinda of wind up(but not really wind up - just sort of bring my arms to my left while I was looking over my right shoulder) so that my body was more balanced. It helped to not pre-spin and my pop got a lot stronger just by doing that. Then after doing sw 1s and 2s onto boxes, I tried more sw 1s on jumps and it actually made a huge difference. I'm not sure if that helps any, but it helped me!

I can do switch 3s off medium to large size jumps. I like to come in with my body turned halfway around as you normally would skiing switch, but right before I leave the lip, I'll just look over my shoulder and pop. I hope this helps, make sure you're popping and don't over think it :)
