A moment of seriousness here, but I'll keep it short.
As some of you know, my family has gotten to know cancer very well this past year. Cancer does not care that you've led a healthy lifestyle all your life, are just about to retire and have many things left on your to do list. Chances that you will know someone in your life who gets diagnosed with cancer - 100%.
Until this past year, the 24 hour ski and snowboard event called Hope on The Slopes was primarily a chance to ski all day and night. I have memories of chasing deep powder all night and morning with people who I now consider some of my closest friends. Fundraising, quite honestly, was never my top priority.
This year I'm making up for that. There are a few challenges at HOTS - a fundraising total challenge, vertical feet challenge, etc. I have a new one in mind: Sheer number of donations.
Donate to American Cancer Society by giving our team $10. Can promise better return on karma than two latte's at the lodge. Its 45 seconds, I've timed it. Then do me a favor and pass this on to a skier or boarder you know. Team DontTychMyMustache's goal is $5000, and it would completely stoke me out to hit it with the help of all my friends.
Links are below, deadline to donate is Feb 28. I do have spots open on my team if you want to join us - all I'd ask is that you go and get the word out and help fundraise.
