Corked or misty

IM really confused now after reading some trick descrpitions, somewhere it said for a cork spin to lean back?? But really is a cork spin the same as a misty but you dont go upside down just off axis?so you throw it more spin less flip then a misty right? or am i wrong

I don't see any resemblance between a misty and a cork. Check out some videos at Skiing Motion to clear up the confusion.

alright here:

mistyflip: off axis front rolling flip, some people do it diff some people go inverted while others do it perfect off axis front roll.

cork: like laying on a bed cork. you throw back more and and drop your shoulder to get into the corked out position.

go on a trampoline and do a 90 and when you get 90 make sure that you're paralell with the ground, than throw you arm down to spin (setting the rotation to get 720) and see where you land... work on it till you get the feeling down and you'll have a corked spin.

Misties are front flippy spinny things, corks are just off axis spins either forward -or- backwards.

There are also downhill cork, those are spin set on the front those can look like misty but are only spin, no roll...

Cork=only spin
misty= shoulder roll+spin.

so for a cork just knock yourself a little bit off axis and you naturally come back to your feet??

well, you go off-axis as far as you want and then recover by going the other way, I cannot even explain how I land those.... I think to look at the ground at the last 180 and it comes down... normally.

For corked shit I just try and throw my body parralell to the ground, spin 540 and when Im doin the last 180 I somehow know when to put my feet down. I think I do it like this some times, set spin while going parralell, finish spinning and throw legs up and over. ITs really hard to explain. Just go to a tramp or diving board and start spinning parralell and think in your head how to put your feet down, hopefully it will come to you.
