DominatorJacquesThe problem with the 7's is the edge does not fully wrap the tip. Then you end up with the edges lifting where they start. If it's not filed down, then they catch on stuff and get worse.
Go for the ski that has a fully wrapped edge on the tip. Plus if you want to skin the K-2 has the holes that work with their skins.
If you are big on the air tips, then look at the Solomon Q Series. They have that plus a full edge wrap on the tips.

Funny thing, the only skis I've had delam at the tip have had fully wrapped edges. I've put about 200 days on both the Moment Ruby and ON3P Caylor each. Neither of which have fully wrapped tips. Zero problems. Add in another total of 300ish days on another pair of Moments and two other pairs of ON3Ps and still no issues with the tips.
I certainly don't baby my skis either, i land on rocks, trees, stumps, ice shit all the time.
I wouldn't disqualify a ski JUST because it doesn't have full wrap around edges.
