Under Armour socks = Sub par... :(

I bought a pair of under armour socks on the 31st and wore them on the slopes for the first time today.

Long story short, there's holes EVERYWHERE. I didn't take it too rough today due to a work injury earlier in the day and I can't think why after 1 wear they are already ready for the trash.

Anyone else have this problem with UA socks or any others? (Socks play a big role in my skiing)

I've never gotten UA socks, but I tend to stay away from brands that aren't what you call ski brands and get normal ski socks.

"ski socks" are fucking lame. Get an ultra thin merino liner sock, and feel the love.

Yup a friend of mine had several pairs and they all self-destructed. Not to mention they smelled terrible after maybe half a day, synthetics + feet = recipe for disaster. Merino all day.

I have been getting FITS ski socks now for a few years. Best damn socks I ever used and I have been skiing for over 45 years.

I just use sock liners, I like them a lot better than any ski sock. Ski socks are to thick.

The thinner the better in my opinion. Most ski socks tend to be so thick and unless you've got big sloppy boots all they're going to do is take up room and reduce circulation.

I use Point6 Ultra Light Merino ski socks and they're great I'd recommend them.

I swear by a pair of UA socks. Not even skis socks. Just thin and comfy. I've had em for like 3 years now, still great condition.

I have liked the Point 6 socks, they are nice, but I have found the FITS to be even better. You can get them in a few different thicknesses.

I wear ski sock all year around and the FITS last longer. In the off ski season I walk 6 hours a day too! So trust me I have tested them all.

Point6 are sick, as are the ultra light IceBreakers.

OP sounds like your boots don't fit. There is no reason your foot should be moving enough to wear through ANY brand of sock.

I have intuition liners as well. So I stay quite warm.

I rode on a pair of under armour socks for 2 days, and there were around I'd say 5-6 holes total. Spend the extra $$$ and get socks from a company like stance. I've ridden a whole season (25-30 days) In one pair and they're great!
