Physics or chemistry for ski making

im choosing classes for next year and i need to know if i should take physics or chemistry. im gonna start making skis this summer to also help me get to know what to look for and all that jazz. what do you guys think i should take

Chemistry will be completely unrelated to ski-making.
An entry level physics class will be almost just as worthless.

Just learn what you need to about ski-making on your own time.

i need a science class to graduate though so im taking 1 or the other. it is IB 2 also for both classes so they dive in deeper to the subject. i just want to take one that will be more helpful. i do realize neither will have that big of an effect but i have to take one anyways

Between the two, physics makes a little more sense. It could help you design kickers and lips and stuff and i guess that kind of relates to skis. I don't know man.

Physics will be more relevant at least

I prefer chemistry though but I am a biology major so I'm sort of biased. Both are fairly heavily mathematically based and interesting in their own right.

yeah i didn't read that far. i would say physics then, not because it'll be useful to ski making but it's more useful in understanding how things work in life

Didn't see, but in that case physics. More math. Decent amount of math goes into making skis so it couldn't hurt

High school science classes won't help that much for making skis but a basic understand of physics seems like it would be much more useful.

i could also leave an open space in my schedule and get an internship for manufacturing. i am also in CAD right now and am taking advanced manufacturing. i plan to take classes at my local community college/tech and then intern at different companies also.

If you want to understand why this is relevant to skis then take chem


Really though what you're looking for is materials science or engineering of some sort, to learn about composite structures and all that fun stuff.
