Ok I've been looking at getting my instructor qualifications in Canada and the two resorts that have stuck out are Revelstoke or Lake Louise. Being from the UK I don't have a fucking clue about what the towns and areas are actually like without being fed some tourist board hyper-positive stuff online. If people could give some pros and cons about each that'd be super cool. Thankssssss

Revelstoke in my opinion. The lake Louise area is one of the most beautiful places in the world, but it is a fairly upity community. The skiing in revelstoke is amazing and there is a lot of skiing to do in British Columbia

Like i'd be looking for some decent backcounty shit when I'm not teaching, reckon Revelstoke would be better? But then I want to balance that with some decent teaching locations too. Like BC does seem crazy cool tho

If you want to teach the LL would be your best option. I can't really imagine that Revy has a very big ski school and i doubt you would get many lessons which will hurt your wallet.
As far as the quality of skiing goes, Revy is the best. Way more snow, and better terrain. However, the terrain at Louise is still sick and super accessible and a sick park. LL is also only about an hour from kicking horse which is a fucking awesome mountain and really close to sunshine village which keeps some good snow, has some sick terrain in delirium dive (need avi gear) and a fun park.
If you choose louise i would recommend living in banff and getting the bus to the hill every day. Takes about 45 mins. Banff is a super fun town, with tonnes of people from around the world who are always down to party and its a good place to get your dick wet! The town in revy isn't as much fun. Theres a lot of cool ski bums and a couple bars but ain't as fun as banff.
Also factor in your ability. If your a super sick skier experienced in the backcountry etc then your gonna get way more out of revy. If your competent but not sending big lines and smashing pillows. Louise will do you just fine.
Hope this helps! Good luck!
