nutz.The people buying the 1dx mk2 aren't looking for all around, they could probably care less about the cinema 4k@60p.
If you're looking solely at the video side for comparison with the D5 you're doing it wrong (also for the price of the 1dx mk 2 you could get a red raven body, although it'd cost quite a bit more to get it up and running the video would likely blow the 1dx m2 out of the water)
so true. Canon really needs to figure out who they're marketing to. A 1D is a PHOTO camera, and a great photo camera. They need to realize that there is still a strong demand for Canon DSLRs for filmmakers (won't be for long, I for one will be jumping ship soon if the 5D mkIV doesn't have 4k. Right now the best bet for Canon filmmakers is still the C100 mk i, mk ii if you really want 60p. Resolution is far better than any of the Canon DSLRs and you can pick up a mk i body for less than 2k if you look around
