How big should my boots be? Im a 10.5 or 11 street shoe and I wear 27.5 boots. my toe presses hard against the end when I stand straight but when I flex they back slightly off and just kind of brush the end (but still touching). When I land flat I tend to toe bang. Do I need bigger boots?
I had a very similar problem. i measure out at a 10 or a 28 flat. but i fit perfectly into a 26.5 boot perfectly. these were great for for downhill skiing, as soon as i started skiing park, i would come home to see my toes changing colors. what i did to solve this problem was up sized to a 27.5 and then put foot beds in to fill the excess space. now my feet fit perfectly, while leaving a ton of room in the toe box.
I think it is definitely worth finding a good boot fitter. The local boot fitter here is amazing, and He really helped me pick out the right boot for me. It has made a huge difference in my skiing already!
