Just an idea for the ski gear industry...
So I've noticed some companies offer limited crash replacement plans where you pay like 50% of the helmet cost to replace it but I had a better idea. Companies should offer a crash replacement "subscription" where you buy a helmet and along side the manufacturing warranty you should have an option to pay a low cost fee ($5-10) once a month to replace a helmet should it be damaged in a crash. Granted you might have people abuse this by getting an extremely discounted helmet by purposely damaging it but it could be profitable to a company and also helpful for people that are sending it and trying new things
I've seen people riding with some thrashed helmets and many people don't even realize that hard foam compresses. So maybe offering a crash replacement program would be something companies should look into.
Any incite on similar programs or other "crash replacement" programs would be nice
