nate1097some people say objects and physical stuff you can keep are more worth it but in my opinion the experiences and memories you make doing them are far more worth it.
daxtonThey actually did a study on this somewhere, and spending money on experiences rather than material possessions ended up making people far happier in the long run. Everything will lose its novelty eventually, but memories are always there. Unless you have amnesia and/or Alzheimer's. But still. We are the sum total of our experiences; they define us.
Here's the study, for anyone interested: http://www.fastcoexist.com/3043858/world-changing-ideas/the-science-of-why-you-should-spend-your-money-on-experiences-not-thing
benlokhorstI say go for it! If you've got a job lined up for the summer, working 3 or 4 days extra would definitely be worth having a trip to remember. Louise is really filled in this year so all of the backside is prime right now, or if you ski park they just finished up a sweet XL line. If you need a ride to the hill from Calgary, I go up pretty often and would be happy to help!really fam? That'd be so sick of you could hook me up? PMed
