Is it worth the money to take a fantastic ski vacation

So, I'm running fairly low on funds (about 1600 CAD). Theres no snow where I ski. Ive got a chance take a trip to lake louise/COP at the break but ill have to throw away 350 bucks and then on top of that ive got buy new ski boots and bindings next year... Im planning on working it all back in the summer. Can any louise homies help me cut the price a bit?? Should I do it? Is it worth it to do what you love?

Agree 100%. Great ski trips are risk and reward. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't.

these. you might have to evaluate where you want to put your money. some people say objects and physical stuff you can keep are more worth it but in my opinion the experiences and memories you make doing them are far more worth it. plus you won't regret not doing it

They actually did a study on this somewhere, and spending money on experiences rather than material possessions ended up making people far happier in the long run. Everything will lose its novelty eventually, but memories are always there. Unless you have amnesia and/or Alzheimer's. But still. We are the sum total of our experiences; they define us.

Yup this study is basically exactly what I was saying... Do something you'll remember man I have no idea what skis I've owned off the top of my head but I can tell you the best experiences I've had no problem... Do what you will remember

I say go for it! If you've got a job lined up for the summer, working 3 or 4 days extra would definitely be worth having a trip to remember. Louise is really filled in this year so all of the backside is prime right now, or if you ski park they just finished up a sweet XL line. If you need a ride to the hill from Calgary, I go up pretty often and would be happy to help!
