I agree, in my personal experience chesties give me better footage. If you don't like the angle and think it's pointed down to far you can adjust it on the mount.
I gave up on gopro's. I got some pretty nice videos with chest-mounts but I was so tired of fidgeting with the damn thing instead of skiing. Never tried any other mounts.
I get the best footage by using the helmet mount and point it down at the perfect angle so It can get my skis and the trail in front of me. Chest footage is too shaky.
Chesty footage you get a lot of your legs in the shot if you are on a steep slope and I think it looks weird. I think a well placed helmet cam is the best for skiing because you are up higher and can see what is ahead and you can also see the skis if it is set up right. Also having the camera on the front of the helmet stabilizes it against your goggles. Chest mounts only look good mountain biking and occasionally motocross I guess
