Will longer skis feel better

I know this is borderline gear talk but I thought I'd get more replies on here so.

I'm going on a trip and I got a free day of rentals last time I was there so I'm gonna use it this time. My skis are 166 and im 5'10 135 (I know they're small)
I ski 60% trees, moguls, pow, etc. And 40% park and groomers. I'm gonna use them for the first three days and then rent on the fourth day (the rentals are 2014 Blizzard Regulators in 179. Do you guys think these are gonna feel better? I've skied small skis all my life. I'll ski mostly park on the last day with the big skis. Does anyone have any experience with the Regulators?

I know its Nice to get more replies, and more feedback on a thread, But please Post It where it clearly belongs. People doing this are the reason that less people check gear talk and the other forums.

Personally, I was skiing 138 skis, and went to 155s, and barely noticed any downsides. Better control at high speed and easier to stomp bigger shit. Feels way more confident to ride a ski the right size.

went from 163 to 176 barely any difference other than the fact that you get more stability.

The regulator is my go to ski for everything. I can't say how amazing it is. i have skied it in all conditions and have been amazed by what it can do.

I hate you scroll fucking past it then and also idk why but your icon bugs the fuck out of me. its like a faggy claim of being thug but gay. idk sorry ive been holdong tha back for a long time. Anyyyywayyy its really prefrence i think but the majority of people will say longer feels better like pink names might say longer feels better but not tahm bout skis nah i mean bruh

OP may I suggest renting the Blizzards when you aren't going to be doing mostly park so you can see how they ride in all conditions? Those things fucking rail on groomers and plow through anything.

I prefer shorter skis becaus they are lighter, (I have traveling circus 2015) and they have low swing weight. Harder on large jumps or landing backseat but a shorter ski allows for more creativity and opportunity.

I'm 5'9" and I went from a 149 to a 177 last year and it was probably the best decision I've ever made

I found growing up everytime I got bigger skis I couldnt go smaller. Way more stability and just feel better.

I'm 5'8'' and my daily drivers are 180 and my pow skis are 189's

Agreed, I would pick shorter skis vs longer any day, however its really just personal preference, if you're doing a lot of powder and whatnot you might want the bigger skis and not want to have to get used to a whole new pair just for one day.

Mountain dependent too. Tree skiing pow = shorter pow skis for smaller turn radius vs big mtn want longer
