*JPI have this years danollies, and the top sheet chipped a lot when they were new but it seems like they've been chipping a lot less lately (probably because I've chipped of what can be easily chipped off). I bought the skis knowing this would happen so it doesn't bother me much.
Does anyone else have a problem with edges denting and forming "bubbles" in the base a couple mm from the dented edge? i ski park with the danollies almost exclusively so its no surprise that this type of denting is occurring. My problem is is that on all of the pairs of skis I've owned, i have never seen the "bubble" in the base form. How do i fix it?
That bubble is cause by the teeth of the edge, when you get and edge compression the metal breaks free from the epoxy and the teeth have to go somewhere. The real concern you should have is how much water can now get in where the epoxy has shattered. Between the edge and sidewall you're guaranteed to have a gap. Seal with epoxy, ignore the 'bubble' if it's not too bad.
Or take into a shop you trust, they'll do it right
