Afterbangs are Buttery?

I just bought 2015 Afterbangs and in my opinion they're not as buttery and flexible as everyone claims they are. I was just wondering if they will eventually get broke in and they'll be super buttery? or is the newer Afterbang design just stiffer than years past? Still a fun ski tho...

Honestly man, I rode a pair of the '13 afterbangs for 2 hard seasons and they were potentially my least favorite skis I have ever ridden in my entire life. They were so heavy, often got water logged, didn't stand a chance in pow, but really could take a fucking beating. I learned a lot of rail tricks on them so the cores were still in decent shape, but there was so many edge cracks and chipping.

They were buttery (at least mine were), but nothing exceptional. It's all marketing hype with that ski IMO.

Mo offense but if you cant butter abangs youre either very weak, or have no idea what youre doing.

Aterbangs are very buttery, maybe you just got skis too short. I hated my after bangs though, they were junk and only lasted one season. The edges cracked very easy and i just did not like them imo

yes they will break in a bit....but literally the easiest ski to butter

Are you a light guy? I remember back when I weighed less than 100 pounds I thought my Line Invaders were stiff - and they are some of the flimsiest skis ever made.

I'm 5'7" and 140lbs, my afterbangs are 172cm... I can butter them fine but I find they're just as flexible as my future spins haha
