Where to get cheap skis

So. I'm gonna buy my first good pair of skis (past couple years I've gotten after bangs lol) I just grown out of them so I didn't want to buy really expensive skis. Now I'm looking at Kartels, El Rey's and Surface Blanks. These would be the dream but where could I get a decent pair of skis for a cheap price. I know the b/s/t is a good place and blanks are like 300. Where can j get a good pair for under 300

eBay, Craigslist, Lost and found bins, lol jk, look at evo outlet, they've got the best sales and they happen pretty often

don't get surface blanks if you plan on having a "good" ski that is gonna last you a while. i skied them and although i liked them, they are extremely stiff, and fell apart on me in half a season. it's really up to your preference, but i don't think surface blanks can compete with the kartel or el reys

This, but you have to constantly check for when they get new skis. Snagged me 2 pairs of ninthward HHP's for 140 each, now I have junker skis for a long time

I buy most of my skis off of steepandcheap or whiskeymiltia. It's not uncommon to see brand new skis from a couple years ago up for 70% off there. Evo outlet has some pretty good deals too, again as long as you're looking as skis from a year or two ago. I have to be extremely excited about a ski to buy current years, and even then I try to wait till spring or late winter so I can at least get 30 or 40% off.

Your other best bet is to go to your local ski swaps in the fall. This is where I personally unload my used gear. I'll let my old setups go for $200 which everyone always thinks is a crazy good deal, but what they don't know that I bought that setup brand new for not much more than that. It all works out, because then I can impulse buy another 70% off ski in the summer, and the cycle continues.

They're sick skis too. I send i hard with those things and they put up well... I did delam the tips from knuckling a 50 footer like 20 times from not waxing, but they're all good from riveting the tips.

Sounds stupid but Sports Authority buys skis that had problems with printing the topsheet (cosmetic defect) and sells them really cheap. When i was getting my first skis i didnt want to spend much but the truth is, you get what you pay for. If you're done growing just save up for a nice pair of skis and you wont regret it
