Should I chill on jumps?

So I got rekt on one of my first hits of the year just throwing a 3 and broke my femur on like a 15 footer. I had 5s and backies down before and was planning on trying some rodeos, lincolns, and maybe some 7s this season but I'm out for a minute. Getting back into everything next season I might just straight air every jump because I'm so damn paranoid and maybe do more as I get comfortable in seasons to come. What do you guys think? Am I gonna get roasted for being a gaper on jumps? Anyone else have this problem?

I broke my collarbone on a stupid side hit underflip. Ive been hating lots of jumps since and I'm not even fully healed lol. Im making my revenge for the underflip asap

jus see your self doing it and jus go for it. don't let it stop you from progressing. next time jus go thru and straight air each jump until you feel comfortable enough to start spinning or flipping off em. I've been there before and the next time i went skiing, i did the same trick i got hurt on doing. its all mind games

Just do what you're comfortable with, you'll know what that is when you're fully healed and skiing again. Just remember, you can break yourself of anything. I tore an ACL doing a blind 2 on a backyard setup. Just have fun with it and you'll know when you're ready to send it again or if you'll never send it again. Rippin groomers is a lot more fun then you'd think

^ partially tore my acl last year doing the same thing. It took me forever to stop being paranoid about spinning off of a rail.

Damn that sucks. Take your time and heal up. I went through a similar experience but don't psych yourself out either, you'll get your stoke back after a while. And just put in some time during the time during the off season to learn some stuff on a tramp or water ramp.

Well your femur is part of your leg, you need legs to ski, so yeah, I recommend taking it super easy.

Just ease your way into it. Going full send all at once will result in getting calcium. Also, work out a shit ton. It'll prevent future injury.

Progression progression progression

After quite a few injuries last season I was the at the beginning of this one.

Start with something simple like 1s. Do it off everything.

Move up to 3s. Start small off a sidebar where you're only spinning 270. Then maybe do a small 3 off a roller. Then a 15ft. Then add grabs

Do it over and over again. Find a friend who has a tramp. Get a twin sized mattress and some blankets. Go nuts. Learned new rotations with little consequence.

Start doing inverts off of stuff into deep snow or into water. Get comfortable to the point where you can just throw it.

Hopefully that'll get you over it. Went through the same thing and now I can spin 5 both ways along with Mistys and flatspins. Rail game still shit tho

As long as you work it gets better
