In a ski pickle

Well, Ive been looking for pow skis but don't think in reality ill use them as much as I want. So, now I'm looking getting into an all mountain mobber, almost like a good ski for alta, and something for some Montana BC and shit like that. I know now I'm not gonna be able to afford a park, all mountain, and pow ski. So now I'm just gonna run a all mountain ripper/pow and park ski.

Ive been looking at the Devastator (105) and the Moment Deathwish (112). I like lots of rocker and some play. The only problem is the sizing. IM currently 5'7 now and want to pick them up over the summer sales. The sizing is 174 or 184 and I feel like i could grow into a 184 but in like 2 years. If i get a 174 I feel like ill get too big too soon.

If there are any other skis you'd suggest that would be sick.

Also the Faction 3.0 is on my mind but its out of my budget and hard to find a deal on them without them being sold out

Ok, so you have a park ski already?

If that is the case, then everyone seems to love the Devs. Kartel 106, or Jeffrey 114 could be on the money, will update once I ride my 114s...

I have a park ski already (moment vice). I don't know about size yet because I'm supposed to be 6 foot by college (IM a junior in high school).

I wanted 3 pairs but its unrealistic. Whats the flex and rocker like on the Devs?

I think youd love the devs, they are a solid damp ski than can take an all mtn raging amd then seing through the park. I love full rocker, yea on icey hard pack theyre not optimal, but thats just a slight tradeoff for the awesome pivotyness every where else!

Dude the deathwish is insane. So good. Also, will echo shin bang, kitten factory is amazing. nothing but amazing things to say about any aspect, whether it be the ski ro company. All mountain and layzrblades are my 1-2 punch for sure.

How park capable are the devs? Japananda seems like you have ridden them, help me out?

After seeing some of next years, I'm losing thought on the Moment Deathwish and thinking of the KF Rayzr 105 and RMU Apostle 105. The problem is money is a little more tight than the $500 or whatever they both retail for

Ive heard ski blades are excellent for pow, eBay is an A1 option for bargain cops

I have a pair of the K2 shredditor 112, got em on evo pretty cheap. 178, pretty rockered, and by far the most fun on a ski i have ever had. A little playful but can hold it down when you wanna charge. I ski big mountain in comps, and they are my go-to. Check em out forsure!

They crush the park for what they are imo. Its def not a buttery noodle tho, its a heavy damp ski meant for ripping around everywhere. If youre a strong skier, you'd love em. Youre buying a ski to rip all mtn and take big hits, which the devs rock. Pow, chop, chunder, trees, everything in between the devs would be a great choice.

What? The T hall is a great park ski, but it is not an optimal pow ski. Trying to ski with the T hall is like trying to eat soup with a fork.

If you're cool with a stiffer ski I ride my Blizzard Peacemakers all over the place. Enough rocker and a wide enough waist (102) for anything up to like 16 inches, stiff enough to rip groomers, and they're twins.

Definitely the 184 Deathwish. It's got early rise in the tips and tails, so even though its a 184, it won't feel like a huge ski. Plus Triple Camber blows all other All Mountain skis out of the water.

I ski it everyday and it doesn't matter if it snowed 2+ feet the night before or hasn't snowed in 3 weeks, the Deathwish mobs through anything (powder, ice, crud, groomers, chutes, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah...).

Anyone I put on the Deathwish comes back ready to buy a pair for themselves.

Peace Maker is a fun ski, but not stiff.

I've been skiing a Cochise every day, just picked up a pair of Gunsmokes for mess around days.
I could get behind a Peacemaker as an every day, park capable tool. Would probably go with the 180 for length for OP.

Surface Outsiders are amazing. Had mine in some deep deep pow last week as well as spring conditions and crud. Ice not that good on. But everything else was so good. Had them charging down some steep lines and could not be happier. Took some time to get used to the shape/rocker but I absolutley love them. They offer the all mountain chargability and the rocker helps them stay afloat very easily

You can pick up KF's at the end of the season for 50% off.
