4 - 6 day Austrian Ski Trip - Suggestions

My friend and I are planning a 4 - 6 day ski trip in Austria for the end of February. We are likely going to start in Munich then train down to Innsbruck. I know there tons of resorts in that area but any suggestions for the best one or one to use as a "base" would be much appreciated.
Public transport an option? Should we rent a car and go from resort to resort?
We (our knees) don't care about park skiing.
Thanks!

Yo, moved to Germany about a year ago. What i've learned so far is that rental is almost a complete necessity. If you train around you are relying on trains and I find that annoying. Also, decent to awesome (and cheap) accommodations are always accessible by car only. You would have to train or shuttle and it limits the mountains you can hit.
I would recommend Solden and St. Anton because they are massive. Solden has awesome night life as well.
I just went to Zell Am See/Kaprun (Kitzsteinhorn is the mountain) for the four day last weekend and I found it awesome. Not a massive mountain (less than 100 skiable miles lol) but it was such a great time. Awesome towns all around it and the off piste is super accessible by lists and absolutely everywhere. It's like regular trails weaving around all the gnarly shit. One of the best parks i've seen in a while over here as well.
PM me for any assistance. I live 2 hours north of Munich, have a car and 'Merica.

ST ANTON!!!! Awesome terrain, tons of snow, and lots of off piste/backcountry. Great way to get around are the trains as they are fast and affordable.
All times are Eastern (-5)
