ohhhjayTotally new to competing, but looking to enter the Kicking horse 2*. This might be a totally impossible question to answer, but what is level of competition like for girls? Especially in a 2*? I understand that the level of skiing for the chicks isn't nearly as gnarly as it is for guys. I've skied the CPR ridge a couple times, and can huck of some smaller cliffs, but so unsure what level the ladies are skiing at! Any info would be super appreciated
DeebieSkeebiesanything stateside? kinda interested in competing but would love to spend a day somewhere watching guys and gals huck meat.
ohhhjayCooooool I feel like this is actually so reassuring, just go out, give it a shot, and whatever happens happens.
I've probably skied the ridge 3-4 times, so although I couldn't tell you where each tree or cliff band falls, I'm not totally unfamiliar with it

fab02Was watching a little bit the FWQ here in Revy. Have seen way better Junior FWQ 3 stars... Seperate Reality isn t the best 3* terrain regarding creativiity combined with drops.
Well I didnt expect a lot afer I ve seen the FWT and adult FWQ here in January. North Bowl is definitely better for comps.
@ohhjay:
If you have a solid technique, good balance and decent core strength you can easily compete. Depends on your age, but hucking big shit isnt necessary. Often a nice flow and creative line brings riders in the top 4 without any tricks.
If you skied moguls competitive, Big Mtn. wont be a problem for you. Just practise hucking cliffs, drops and landing under control.
