What's The Most Interesting Ride To The Mountain Story?

Well, the title explains it.

Tell me about that one time when halfway to the mountain you realized you forgot your gloves. Instead of turning around and going back, your dad let you cut apart the seats in his car and sew a pair of gloves for the day.

... Or a different story, whatever works for you. Being honest, a different story would be better because I already told you the other one.

So last season we were headed up to Timberline midweek. There's a pretty remote stretch with no cell coverage right before silent rock. We saw a car pulled over on the side of the road no lights, nobody in it. There was a bunch of dirt in the road and some tree branches. Didn't think much of it... We get up to the mountain and then find out that Highway 26 is completely shut down. The FBI, bomb squad, Portland police, etc... were all there. The dude blew himself up with a pipe bomb and we had driven past it before any of the police got there. They had the bomb robots searching the car and shit. The road was closed for around 14 hours total...

I remember that day, I sat at the top of the mile watching ns edits all day since no one could make it up.

Ive hitched rides on mt. Hood for the last 4years here and there. Had so many crazy stories, my favorite would have to be the Mexican dude that was driving a massive lifted dodge couldn't drive for shit almost dropped his granny trying to put in 4x4 going 50mph. We started talking about why his truck reeks like weed and he proceeded to tell me he was transporting to bend pops his back bench seat up and there is straight up pounds. I'm just coming up to Kiwanis camp turn about quarter mile from silent rock and we get tailed by a sheriff all the way to tline road he drops me off and drives away.. Cop lights him as he cuts a car off getting on the road again. Got so lucky

I was passenger but my friends was driving kinda close to this guy. Eventually we came to a stop sign and the dude slams his brakes got out his car right up to our windows and flipped shit. He proceeded to call us every shit name in the books. We both kind of went into shock haha needless to say we keep our distance the rest of the way. Until the parking lot where we parked like two spots down haha.

I picked up a hitchhiker on the way to work. hour 20 min drive. Was probably halfway. Dude was only going 10 min further and only about 10 min total out of the way. Ends up telling me ridiculous stories about people he's killed with his walking stick and other stuff. I'm pretty sure he was joking but who knows. He had a radio in a satchel that he left in my car. I always meant to find him one day and give it back Used it on camping trips a few times. Also told me he'd throw me a few bucks in gas, but instead insisted on giving me some patch from the olympics some year. I still haven't done anything with it but I took it because he was really stoked for me to have it, and I didn't want him to kill me.

I was trying to learn rodeos a long time ago. Was thinking of the rotation in my head and visualizing it. I threw one in my head and ended up yanking the wheel to throw into it. Went down a massive hill in drift mode.

I may or may not have been high as fuck.

Really not interesting but a nice surprise in the morning.
