In regards to the question at hand, if the ptex fills the gouge completely in one go and you can scrape and sand it flush with the ski, you only have to do it once. If the ptex doesn't fill it completely in one try, do it again to build it up.
ABskierthat's a pretty small core shot. you can fix it just fill it with ptex all at once and it probably wont rip out.
freeski1620Yeah I'd just fill it. no need to reinvent the wheel with this. especally cause its in the middle of the ski you should be fine with just P-tex.
