Replying to After Skiing Ends: What is life like after a professional career?

Okay so serious question and this is something I've been wondering for a while:
Obviously skiing never really has to end, but professional careers do. What is life like for todays pro's after their professional careers end? Do they make enough money now to sustain themselves and a family down the road? I could be completely wrong, but I feel like a good portion of these guys aren't college educated, and unfortunately that's pretty important in todays world. I know a lot of skaters tend to go off and start their own brands, but I feel like there isn't much room for that in the ski world?
Let me know what you know, just something I've always wondered.
