What is the best backpack?

For day trips into the backcountry and occasionally for skiing in bounds at larger ski areas. Is the heli-pro the right choice? That is where I am leaning now, but I was just wondering if anyone had any experiencs (good or bad).

Dakine rocks... heli pros are nice bags, you can't lose there. I use a metro pack because it holds boots (and skis, too, but that can be a bit heavy and kinda awkward). They're solid packs.
