Help with switch spins

Title says it all. I often catch edges, and the overall spin/pop just feels wrong. Has anyone else experienced this? Helpful comments?

i did a little at first you just really have to focus on popping into the spin instead of setting your spin before you pop

For me, what helped alot, was if I was catching was to consciously think about waiting that extra little bit to start the rotation. Do some 0spin shifties to feel out when you should really pop off the lip, I used to just float off of it and would catch more frequently, but once i figured out how to pop off the lip snd set like a regular spin its almost more comfortable for me switch now. Hope that helped a little.

Practice skiing switch a lot, if you're not good at skiing switch it's like trying to ski park Shen you don't even know how to ski. It won't end well. Once you get that down just do switch 180s (easier than 0 spins imo) and just get really used to that then work your way up with bigger spins and jumps

Pop later then you want to on purpose. This helps with switch lips a lot too

But this is the key right here. ^^ ski switch as much as possible until you can ski switch as well as you can ski forward (and practice looking over BOTH shoulders). I found switch spins and landings to be so much easier after I dedicated myself to becoming a really good switch skier last year.

Pop and bring your knees up. It'll feel a little more natural.

I like spinning switch better than forward. Just pop and wait unitl you are clear of the lip, the rotation will come around. Good luck

I like to carve it a little bit and pop later than you think you should. Just start off doing some switch ones before anything else

Think more about the pop, and how to have your skis in the air before the spin starts. Be patient and have a person clear out the lip for you before you go. Sometimes it does happen the jumps itself is not really well set for switch takeoffs.

be really good at skiing switch and carving then you'll be more comfortable hitting jumps switch. make sure you're looking almost directly behind you stagger your feet.
