Mounting ski bindings

So I have a pair of 10 or 09 K2 Extreme skis. When I got them the bindings were already mounted back in a more freeride position. I want to mount them center since all I do is jump and grind rails and do tricks. I took them to a local ski shop and they said they could not mount them because the ski was to wide (psst stupid people). So I was wondering if I could make my own jig and mount them myself. I am very good with my hands, some of the things I have done: Converted a full suspension mountain bike to single speed. Made a a sick ski bike with no plans. Created countless props and trinkets for movies working biking skiing etc. I also fix pretty much everything around my house because I am so good at this stuff. So from what I have said would I be able to do it, I have done hours of research about this. Also I do have a back up pair of skis if something were to go wrong.

Main thing is to not drill to deep in your bases, and to be square when you are drilling into your bases. If you have a drill press it helps a lot, but you can do it free hand.

Disclaimer: I didn't check specs on the k2's to see if mounting them center would be good, I figured you did your research.
